Blasting to Released Emails
- Well-known email broadcast services such as Constant Contact, MailChimp, Pardot, and MyEmma do not allow you to upload a rented third-party list. Always review the terms and conditions of your chosen broadcast service before signing up to ensure third-party rented lists are permitted.
- Do not paste the entire rented list into the To, CC, or BCC field of Outlook, Gmail, or any other email client. Doing so can result in your email account or entire domain being blacklisted.
- You may send as many email blasts as you wish within the one-year period but follow best marketing practices to avoid being flagged as spam or blacklisted.
- Deliverability is expected to be in the 80–90% range. However, we do not guarantee deliverability due to factors beyond our control, such as corporate filters, ESP filters, and email content. Refunds are not provided for undeliverable addresses.
- Because records are not updated during your one-year rental, deliverability rates may decline over time. Before each blast, remove any previously bounced email addresses to avoid being flagged by ISPs.
- If ISPs or SpamHaus detect spam-like activity—such as excessive use of the BCC field, frequent blasts, or repeated sending to outdated addresses—they may block your domain. This could prevent you from emailing your list and disrupt communications with your existing customers.
- Email content guidelines:
- Do not send emails containing only images—use a balanced mix of images and text.
- Include a clear call-to-action (CTA) directing recipients to a specific landing page.
- Avoid sending commercial emails during holidays or at ineffective times (e.g., Friday at 5 P.M.).
Follow CAN-SPAM Requirements
- Purchasing a third-party list does not exempt you from CAN-SPAM compliance. Violations can result in penalties of up to $16,000 per email. Review the FTC’s CAN-SPAM Compliance Guide for full details.
- Header information: The From, To, Reply-To, and originating domain must be accurate and identify the sender.
- Subject lines: Must not be deceptive.
- Advertisement disclosure: Emails must clearly state that they are advertisements.
- Postal address: A valid physical address (street or P.O. Box) must be included in the email.
- Opt-out mechanism: Every email must provide a clear, easy-to-use opt-out method, either via an email reply or a single webpage. You may allow recipients to opt out of specific messages, but they must be able to unsubscribe from all commercial emails.
- Processing opt-outs: Requests must be honored within 10 business days and remain valid for at least 30 days after sending the email. You cannot charge a fee, require excessive personal information beyond an email address, or impose unnecessary steps for opt-out requests.
Ordering Released Emails
- Lists are provided in Excel format and may take up to 48 hours to process.
- Emails may be used for up to one year from the purchase date. At the end of this period, you must destroy the data—except for contacts who have become clients or opted into your email list.
- Upon renewal, you may rent a fresh email list and request the suppression of clients and opt-outs from the previous list. Depending on the list size, a suppression fee may apply.
- Prepayment is required for all released email lists.
